At Aspers we have more than 100 members of staff and many of them have either made the UK their home, while many more have travelled the world, seen the sights and sounds of faraway places and then returned to Northampton with the experiences and insight that travel brings, enhancing their personal development and the interaction with their customers.

At Aspers we have more than 100 members of staff and many of them have either made the UK their home, while many more have travelled the world, seen the sights and sounds of faraway places and then returned to Northampton with the experiences and insight that travel brings, enhancing their personal development and the interaction with their customers. Personally, I spent years working in the States and on international cruise ships and that gave me a unique business perspective. In addition, our customer base is diverse these days, too. Our guests, whether they are resident here or visiting on business or for pleasure, often bring with them a new and interesting outlook. Gaming is, of course, universal, and playing the tables is pretty much the same no matter what country you’re in, making it the perfect form of entertainment for everyone. Having said that, we are keen to embrace this diversity and cater for all cultures and tastes, no matter how much of a minority. This brings something extra to those customers who appreciate that offering, and also introduces all of our customers to something new, exciting and different. This month, for instance, sees the Chinese Moon Festival, a traditional celebration in which the moon and its close relationship with the changing seasons is celebrated. The Moon Festival falls on September 8 this year and we have a series of events to mark the event, more news will be on our website soon. Our own major celebration is, of course, not too far away and we are already taking bookings for our Christmas Party Package. Depending on the day – Thursday to Saturday – we have packages ranging from £29.50 to £38 per person, throughout December. Ticket prices include a glass of bubbly on arrival, a three-course meal and DJ and dancing until 2pm. For those who prefer to celebrate at lunchtime, we offer a three-course meal at £25 per person each Monday to Thursday until December 18. As I write, in mid-August, one of the dates has already sold out, and that’s just based on the power of our returning customers, as we have not started advertising the Christmas parties as yet. Aspers is the perfect venue for a Christmas party, with guests invited to enjoy pre-dinner drinks in Tanzibar before joining us in our exclusive first-floor party area before taking their seats for dinner in the restaurant, where they will enjoy table service dinner before the lights go down and the music starts.
