Training consultancy scoops record award wins

A WELLINGBOROUGH-based training and management consultancy has been named one of the best in the world after scooping a record number of awards at an international conference.

Dale Carnegie Central England won four of the five awards presented at the annual Dale Carnegie Convention, recently held in Athens.

Based on customer feedback, the awards recognise the best training agencies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The Central England franchise won Best Franchise, beating stiff competition from over 50 other consultancies from across the globe.

The team’s Business Development Director and trainer Trina Tollman won the awards for Highest Performance in Training and Highest Performance in Training for the public Personal Development Programme, while fellow trainer Glyn Nicholls won the award for Highest Performance in Leadership Training for Managers.

Ed Carter, Chief Executive of Dale Carnegie Central England, said: “We won one of the trainer awards at last year’s conference in America, but it’s unheard of to win four of the five awards in just one year.

“I am absolutely over the moon with what our team has achieved. As well as Trina and Glyn, all the other trainers have done a great job – their excellent combined customer feedback scores resulted in us being named Best Franchise.

“What our trainers are achieving for our customers is quite remarkable, so I am delighted to see that recognised at an international level.”

The award-winning scores are based on feedback forms completed by customers after attending the consultancy’s various courses.

They rate a range of aspects, including how well the training has helped them learn new skills, improve their performance and reach their goals – plus how engaging the course was and how likely they are to recommend Dale Carnegie to other people and organisations.

The 10-strong team at Dale Carnegie Central England run around 50 training programmes a year, including public courses and in-house training for businesses. They cover subjects such as building self-confidence, people skills, leadership, effective communication, presentation skills, sales and customer service.
