Vision for the future

SHEINMAN Opticians welcomed Kelvin Thomas and his team from Northampton Town Football Club to the practice to sign papers marking a major new partnership between two of the town’s most long-standing enterprises.

The three-year deal will see the North Stand at Sixfields renamed as The Sheinman Opticians Stand and there will be a large presence on match days with competitions, offers and eye health related advice for matchgoers.

The players will also visit the practice for their eye health checks and to be fitted with contact lenses and spectacles where necessary. The partnership is designed to spread the message of the importance of eye health to people of all ages, even enlisting the help of Clarence the Dragon, who has been in to the Abington Street practice to have his very own specially made pair of spectacles fitted.

Head of the Sheinman Eyecare practice, John Sheinman, is delighted with the partnership. He said: “We are all proud to be associated with Northampton Town Football Club and the new partnership will be another major sporting venture for my company who have a history of supporting Northampton’s outstanding sports teams.”

With both Sheinman and NTFC having been active in Northampton for over 100 years this partnership acknowledges both the rich history and the exciting future of each enterprise, with benefits for the community as a whole.
