Volunteer leave encourages employees to work in the community

THE solicitors at Wilson Browne are proud of their involvement in the local community and on-going Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme. The firm is very active supporting community projects and charities within the local area.

It is now hoping to unleash a new wave of skills, capability and passion to help others by supporting its employees with volunteer leave. Employees will be encourage to spend time in the local community for one day of the year volunteering for a project that is important to them. This equates to a staggering 150 days of volunteering per year!

Kevin Rogers, Chairman and Partner said: “Volunteering can have a positive effect on both the volunteer and the community, increasing the connection between the two. Helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the lives or people, animals and organisations in need. Volunteering can also have a positive effect on the Volunteer and helping others can reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated, and provide a sense of purpose. I’m delighted that the firm has decided to offer this to our employees.”

If you are an organisation that requires support from volunteers please contact the marketing team on 01536 410014.
