THRIVING SAC Construction has undertaken a wealth of building projects to meet its ambitious target to increase sales by around 50 per cent a year.

Key projects for the Corby-based contractors in the last year include:
+ A £1.8 million project to transform a building, dating back to the late 1800s, into the country’s first private medical school for the University of Buckingham. The building now includes new teaching areas, offices, lecture theatre, exam suites and private study areas.
+ A £1.8 million project in Corby on behalf of Metropolitan Housing Trust to design and build 14 two and three-bedroom bungalows and four three-bedroom houses. The homes were built to a level 3 for the Code of Sustainable Homes, which means each exceeds building regulation standards in energy efficiency and safety.
New projects include:

+ The construction of a two-storey clubhouse for Bedford Girls’ School. The £1.5m project in the village of Cople just outside Bedford will provide changing rooms, store rooms, offices and a viewing room for the new playing fields that will include six new lacrosse and hockey pitches.

+ A new office complex for Boden Developments at Compass Point, Market Harborough which will be the new UK headquarters for international shoe retailer Deichmann.
To cope with the company’s expansion the team have recruited professionals including site managers, estimators and newly appointed senior quantity surveyor Jordan Connachie.

Andy Culbert, Director of the company, based on Corby’s Willowbrook Industrial Estate, said: “At the start of the year we put in place a plan for growth with a target of increasing sales by around 50 per cent a year for the next three to four years. We have already met the target for the first year, which gives us great confidence going forward.”
SAC Construction provides an all-round service, from new builds to repairs, and more than 80 per cent of sales are currently from repeat customers with referrals helping to increase demand even further.

Andy said: “We have built a reputation within our sector for reliability and flexibility, whatever the size of the project and feel confident we can continue to expand while retaining our high standards.”
