Preparing for a pivotal year ahead

SO far, 2015 has been a great year for us. We have, in effect, doubled in size in a response to the increased workload of both the architectural and interior design sides of the business. We have gone from strength to strength in terms of project wins, particularly in the leisure and hospitality sector. We have had some fantastic feedback and press from completed projects including a theatre refurbishment, some extensive restaurant and pub refurbishments and a workplace HQ fit out for one of our clients.

Currently, on site we have a new community sports facility, a new Volvo car dealership and another large pub restoration project.

We have also been recently engaged to help deliver a very exciting new Alfa Romeo and Jeep concept in the UK not to mention working on a large HQ building at Silverstone and design work at Brighton University and The Museum of Wales. What we are most proud of is that the majority of our new projects have come to us a through longstanding relationships with our existing clients or a result of referrals.

It has been great to be working within our home county alongside projects further a field. Northamptonshire continues to develop into a really vibrant place to live and do business. The county’s hospitality and food and drink sector in particular is exciting at the moment and we were excited to see some great established and new concepts at this years Carlsberg Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards.

The new restaurant concept, RBW, that we recently designed in Corby is continuing to trade really well. It is great to see that thirst to create something really special. There is so much competition on the high street and locally between operators to attract customers and we like to think that we help our clients differentiate themselves from rolled out concepts and enable them to really stand out from the crowd. Traditionally, design and food trends are heavily influenced by what is going on in London and the South of the country but it is really encouraging to see Northamptonshire at the forefront of what is going on. We are looking to 2016 to be a year where we team up with more local operators in the county to be part of this movement towards an even, stronger/vibrant food and drink sector.

There may be lots of similar opportunities for local businesses in other sectors to open up new revenue streams at their venues. Underused spaces can be utilised for functions or rented out for meetings, external areas can be given a make over to increase external covers. We are looking to 2016 as a pivotal year where we can share our expertise with like minded businesses in the county and assist with their commercial growth.
