PRINTFAST are enjoying increased productivity following their relocation to bigger premises in Wellingborough
Owner, Andy Hutson, had seen business grow successfully since founding the company 12 years ago but had been aware that production was capped somewhat by a lack of space. However, production is on the increase and efficiency has been improved now they are in a unit twice the size of their previous premises, next to Screwfix on the Denington Estate. The location is more accessible and even walk-in trade from Screwfix customers is now a frequent occurrence.
Production Manager Marc Brett said that handling very large orders is much easier and quicker than before due to the increased floor space. Printfast now also keep a much wider range of paper in stock which further cuts production times. Having an all-Heidelberg litho set up brings reliability, quality and speed: all at very competitive rates. Pre-press and design manager, Robin Pulford, says that last year’s installation of a brand new Digital Heidelberg Linoprint has brought Printfast up to speed with the digital market and has allowed them to take on far more fast turnaround work for shorter runs – which seems to be in high demand more than ever with customers.
This year will see Printfast investing in additional equipment to further improve capacity; allowing them to attract more business from local companies while building on their trade work which has always been a considerable percentage of their output.
