Buoyant market helps drive growth

BELLWAY has reported rising demand for homes in the Northern Home Counties as the region was named as one of the company’s key growth areas.

Announcing its half-year results, Bellway revealed its Northern Home Counties division sold more than 350 homes between August 2018 and the end of January 2019.

Bellway Northern Home Counties is currently selling homes across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Sales and Marketing Director, Chris Edginton said: “The housing market remains strong and this has been reflected in our growth to date. House prices remain at affordable levels and the region benefits from excellent transport links, good schools and an increasing range of job opportunities fuelled by increased investment in the region.

“Low mortgage rates, high employment and the availability of the government’s Help to Buy equity loan have helped to create a housing market which is poised for further growth.

The company has retained its HBF Five Star Builder status for 2019 and recently joined the 5% Club of employers with more than five per cent of employees serving as trainees or apprentices.
