PEARS Property Advisors, acting on behalf of RDN Industrials, have recently purchased the former British Steel Pension Fund industrial estate located on Brackmills in Northampton. Brackmills is widely regarded as Northampton's premier industrial estate and RDN Industrials' acquisition comprises 32 industrial units totalling 274,396 sq ft (25,492 sq m), providing occupiers with a range of units from c.3,000 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft.
Following the purchase, Pears Property Advisors have undertaken an extensive refurbishment programme of the vacant units and rebranded the estate as Brackmills Central.
TDB Real Estate and Lambert Smith Hampton have been appointed as joint agents on the scheme. So far, they have welcomed SAS Logistics Ltd to the estate, who took a unit of c.12,500 sq ft in March, and placed a further c.12,500 sq ft unit under offer.
Oliver Thompson of TDB Real Estate said: "The Northampton industrial market is currently experiencing a chronic shortage of good-quality product and Pears Property's recent refurbishment programme of vacant units has demonstrated the importance of bringing good quality product back to the market."

TDB Real Estate and LSH have just commenced with marketing 32 Lyveden Road, which comprises prominently located unit of 19,934 sq ft on a secure site of 0.42 acres and 25 Lyveden Road, which offers road frontage suitable for trade counter uses of 2,942 sq ft. Both properties will be undergoing an extensive refurbishment programme that will be completed towards the end of August.
