TDB Real Estate are pleased to report the letting of 130,000 square feet on Sopwith Way, Drayton Fields, Daventry to G2S Limited.
TDB Real Estate acted on behalf of a substantial private property company in agreeing a new five-year lease at a market rent. Daventry continues to be popular with the logistics industry, given its exceptional road links to the M1/A5, access to which will be improved even further in a couple of years with the completion of the Flore/Weedon bypass.
TDB have a further 90,000 square feet (existing building plus new build extension) under offer, with a planning decision awaited in respect of the new extension.
Mark Brown at TDB said: “Daventry continues to be a popular location for companies expanding within the region, and as a location for regional logistics hubs.”
Acting on behalf of the same client TDB have also sold 110,000 square feet at Racecourse Road, Wolverhampton, at a price well in excess of £2.5 million.
Mark Brown said: “This sale was not without its challenges, it was an older 1970s building, used for many years by Caterpillar with hours of use restrictions, and a difficult access through a residential area. However, in conjunction with our joint agent Harris Lamb, we are very pleased with the eventual sale to Instinct Apparel, especially as TDB were able to negotiate a substantial surrender premium from the previous tenants prior to the premises being marketed.”
