THREE new plots of storage land, suitable for a variety of uses, have come onto the market in recent weeks.

The first two form part of the Furnace Lane Business Park on the Finedon Sidings Industrial Estate near Wellingborough. The first offers 0.445 acres plus a 1,217 square foot workshop that benefits from roller shutter doors and three-phase power. The secure fenced yard is available on a new lease at £32,000 per annum exclusive.

On the same site is a smaller, 0.23-acre yard with Herras fencing. A Portakabin office is available if required on terms to be agreed. The yard is available to let on a new lease at £15,000 per annum exclusive.

On the Brackmills Industrial Estate, open storage land or vehicle parking of 0.25 acres is available on Pennard Close. The concrete hard standing benefits from security fencing and secure gates and is well positioned for access to the M1 at Junction 15. The land is available to let on a new lease at £25,000 per annum exclusive.

An office in the Grade II* listed Whitworths Chambers in Northampton town centre has become available to let. The 206 square foot space looks out on to a well-maintained courtyard and tenants benefit from membership of a private members club including access to facilities such as a private dining room, members bar and billiard and snooker room.

The office is available on a new lease at £3,000 per annum for a number of years to be agreed.

Newly on the market for sale is the fully-let 227 Wellingborough Road, which is available as an investment property with the resident businesses remaining unaffected. The premises include ground floor retail accommodation with two refurbished flats above and a garage to the rear. The property is for sale at £525,000.

Recent lettings in Northampton include the letting of prime retail space on Abington Street to the charity Scope. The former 99p Stores has been closed since the retailer merged with Poundstretcher and the business was consolidated into one store on the same street. The 8,500 square foot space with a first-floor loading bay will house Scope’s flagship furniture and electrical shops. Further space on upper floors has potential to be developed for student accommodation, subject to planning permission. The entire building is available at an asking price of £3 million.

A deal has been agreed to let 40,000 square feet of warehouse space on Liliput Road on the Brackmills Industrial Estate to Ocee Design, as part of the firm’s ongoing expansion. The lease has been agreed at a headline rent of £210,000 per annum.

Meanwhile, the rear section of the Coliseum building in Kingsthorpe Hollow has also been let on a seven-year lease to a furniture restoration firm. The letting achieved a rent of £12,000 per annum.
