Pupils get a chance to shine

PUPILS at Hayfield Cross Church of England Primary School have received a donation of reflector clips from David Wilson Homes to help them remain safe and seen as part of Walk to School Month.

David Wilson Homes South Midlands has given the school 100 bag tags for their pupils to wear whilst walking to and from school, ensuring they can be easily seen on the roads as the darker nights draw in.

School Month ran for the duration of October and encouraged pupils to celebrate the journey to school on foot.

Craig Charteris, Head Teacher at Hayfield Cross Primary School, said: “With an increasing number of our families now moving into Bertone Manor we are really pleased to continue our partnership working with David Wilson Homes. As more children are now walking into school the walk to school initiative and the bag tags is an excellent idea to keep the children aware and safe as they travel to and from school in the winter.”

Jason Hearn, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “With many of our developments having schools located close by, we want to ensure pupils remain safe and visible as the nights draw in.

“We are supporting Walk to School Month with a donation of hi-vis bag tags to Hayfield Cross Primary School which is close to our development Bertone Manor, helping the children to stay seen whilst maintaining their ambition to make the journey to school on foot.”

David Wilson Homes’ hi-vis bag tags have been particularly useful during Walk to School Month, whilst being certain to benefit the pupils in their future commute to school throughout the winter months.
