Freehold enquiries still strong

DESPITE the uncertain economic climate Hadlands have recently completed the letting of a retail unit on the popular Kingsley Park Terrace to a local occupier.

A five-year lease was achieved with a stepped rent of £11,000 per annum in year one, stepped up to the full asking rent of £12,500 per annum for year two onwards.

Freehold enquiries are still coming through strongly, in particular for two small freehold industrial units we have been instructed to market on Upper Priory Street, Northampton.

Both units are around 1,300 square feet; one is being sold as an income producing investment and the other is being sold with vacant possession, and both are on the market at £175,000 each. The level of interest we are receiving hopefully bodes well for business confidence and recovery once the current economic situation is clearer.

A selection of units are available to rent at the Nene Enterprise Centre. Ranging from 495 square feet to 2,622 square feet, the units may be suitable for a wide variety of uses ranging from light manufacturing or studios to office use. The centre has seen a number of new lettings and the landlords are undertaking a programme of refurbishment works. There is excellent car parking provision and the centre is just a short drive from Northampton town centre.
