First stage passed

TWO more solicitors from Hewitsons’ Private Wealth team are on their way to receiving a globally recognised diploma that will position them as leading experts in their field.

Senior Solicitor Rachel Hawkins and Solicitor Ciara Wanstall have each passed their Advanced Certificate in The Administration of Estates with distinction.

This is the first of four stages involved in obtaining the internationally renowned STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates and becoming full STEP members.

STEP (The Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners) is a global association for practitioners specialising in family inheritance and succession planning. Its members are recognised as highly qualified trust and estate practitioners, as well as trusted advisers in this field.

Many Hewitsons solicitors are STEP members and the law firm is also a STEP Platinum Employer, in recognition of its high levels of training.

This, therefore, marks a milestone for the pair, who joined Hewitsons’ Northampton office in Billing Road in 2017 and advise clients on matters including wills, inheritance tax, succession planning, administration of estates and powers of attorney.

Rachel said: “Ciara and I are delighted to have passed the Advanced Certificate in the Administration of Estates. Completing the diploma and becoming full STEP members will further demonstrate our commitment to continued professional development and providing the best possible advice for clients.”

Ciara added: “This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication that we at Hewitsons strive for every day. We will continue to work hard to provide the best service possible for our clients, all with Hewitsons’ Absolute Client Focus approach in mind.”
