Spring into spring

By Rachel Mallows

The Mallows Company

SPRING often brings new ideas and resolutions to individuals and to businesses. For The Mallows Company, 2020 has seen the relaunch of a new National Careers Service (NCS) programme to up-skill employed adults as well as the development of new training workshops for individuals and businesses across the county.

The NCS free support allows The Mallows Company to deliver additional services to their training, development and coaching portfolio in response to national directives around digital transformation and up-skilling staff. This free, professional, funded advice, guidance and training is available for anyone employed who does not have a level 2 qualification.

We work with employees and their employers to understand and deliver what both parties want or need.

The provision will assess skills gaps and help enrol employees on the right digital training ranging from IT to sector focused short courses. The advice and guidance would be a one-to-one interview resulting in an Action Plan and courses can be completed at your premises on your computer systems. They can also provide group sessions which are delivered by their experienced and qualified team of consultants.

Courses cover a wide range of sectors and subjects such as:

Digital Skills, Business and Management including Food and Drink, Health and Psychology, Creative Arts and Media, Tech and Coding, Teaching, Languages and Culture, Law, Nature and Environment, Science, Engineering, English, Maths and Study Skills.

Alongside this, The Mallows Company team have developed some new workshops on the following topics: Supervisor to Manager, Mental Health Awareness, Building Resilient Teams and Influencing Skills. New bespoke development sessions include: Mediation in Business, Coaching Supervision for Coaches and Preparing for Retirement.

Developing people builds confidence and increases productivity.

Training Manager, Kathryn Rose, said: “We’ve taken feedback from our customers about issues facing businesses in 2020 and have responded with this new portfolio. Tailored support within these particular areas can also be provided.”
