SILVERSTONE Circuits Ltd., the home of British motor racing, fought off stiff competition to be crowned Best Exhibition Facility at the recent CHS Awards 2019, held at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.
Celebrating its fifth year, the CHS Awards provide hotels and venues from across the UK with a unique opportunity to showcase their facilities – allowing even the smallest independent venue to be recognised for an aspect, service or feature of their property or service. The awards are judged by an independent panel of over 50 event professionals from leading agencies throughout the UK.
Silverstone is one of Britain’s most iconic event venues, with 12,500 square metres of flexible space at its flagship venue, The Wing. The venue can cater for everything from an intimate meeting for two, to a major exhibition for up to 3,000. It has on-site parking for 1,000 cars and comprises a series of flexible spaces that can be set-up to accommodate a range of different types of events. At its heart are four halls covering over 4,520 square metres.
Alongside the halls in The Wing are the 1,539 square metre International Media Centre; a Business Centre comprising seven meeting rooms; an Auditorium used by the F1 teams for pre-race briefings and press conferences; 40 Pit Garages – 5,768 square metres of unique and adaptable space, with full HGV access; the exclusive The British Racing Drivers’ club – an iconic venue with a stunning roof terrace and The President’s Suite which can host between 20 and 50 people.
The venue’s expert in-house meetings and events team has vast experience planning everything from large scale events such as the Formula 1 British Grand Prix to exclusive product launches, small meetings, industry conferences and award ceremonies.
