THE early days in business can be difficult, and having a network of both like-minded people, and those who have a wealth of experience, is invaluable.
Earlier this year, The Business Club Northants, which has itself supported and encouraged local businesses with networking and training for more than 10 years, launched its New2BusinessClub.
Sponsored by the University of Northampton, the club offers a six-monthly series of courses that builds into a comprehensive work reference manual covering all aspects of starting and maintaining a successful business.
For just £25 plus VAT a month, members enjoy business networking followed by training on different modules including gaining customers and finding your place in the market; finance and legal issues; compliance and planning, reviewing and development.
Business Club Northants CEO Mike Willis said: “There are many people who start a new business who then struggle to find consistent advice, training and on-going support and our club provides this and much more.”
Several member companies of the Business Club Northants work with Mike to provide comprehensive training and become ‘business buddies’ who are on call should additional help be needed.

The Business Club Northants itself offers networking that includes three evening meetings each month in different areas of the county, with a wide and varied range of guest speakers, as well as a host of training and information sessions that can prove invaluable to a new business.
In addition, CEO Mike Willis holds an induction session each month, and membership also delivers access to a pool of contacts, social events and a database of fellow members.
