A safe and peaceful academic environment

OFTEN referred to as one of Northamptonshire’s best kept secrets, Pitsford School is one of the county’s leading independent co-educational day schools for pupils between four and 18.

At the heart of the school is the ethos of Opportunity, Excellence and Understanding. This not only provides the opportunity for academic excellence but also for a well- rounded set of life skills and experiences.

Set in 26 acres of rural Northamptonshire, Pitsford offers a safe and peaceful environment for the pupils to grow. It encourages the fun of learning when they have their first taste of education at four or five, through to supporting them with decisions about their wider options at 18.

Having the juniors and seniors sharing the same grounds encourages the pupils to engage with other year groups and helps ease the anxiety that can sometimes accompany moving up to senior school. A through-school house system also gives the children that extra bond with others from different year groups.

Activities that run throughout the year help to build their confidence and a sense of camaraderie. Smaller class sizes enable the students to interact more with their teachers and peers, allowing for a more individual approach to their learning, while the wide range of extra-curricular activities provide the freedom and opportunity to try new things and expand their interests further.

An extensive bus network brings pupils in from around the county in the morning and they depart again after activities at 5.20pm allowing the school to provide a wraparound care service that works well for busy families.
