IT has been a good year for logistics and warehousing firm C Butt Ltd.
With much change in 2016 across the group, including new Joint Managing Directors, a revitalisation of local sales and business wins, 2017 has proved to be just what was ordered.
Our shared user warehouse on the Brackmills Industrial Estate started off the year with some space to sell but it didn’t take long for the operation to be well and truly back on track.
With Christmas fast approaching, many of our customers, such as Woodway Packaging, see a marked uplift in volumes for its high-end retail customers. It’s only through close communications and working together in partnership that the forecasts can be managed. Looking into 2018 the future remains bright for the operation, new business in partnership with another major distribution company will see this operation not slowing down.
Our contracted warehouse on Magna Park, Lutterworth, has equally seen a positive outcome for the year, retaining the contract until 2021 and moving into its eleventh year with the Kenwood-De Longhi brand is tantamount to the long-term views C Butt Ltd bring to all business. New projects and continual improvement has ensured that the customer remains happy and secure with the C Butt Ltd team.
Positive news within our transport departments continues the picture, the Northamptonshire-based fleet go out to all points in the UK and return loads ensure the most efficient scenario possible. With our own fleet covering a majority of the business we haul, our customers have the confidence that vehicles turn up on time, drivers are familiar with the work required and good communications keep everyone informed.
Looking at 2018 business certainly looks positive, but we all know in the business that we can’t stand still. Working as a proactive team with existing customers, nurturing new customers and looking for true partnerships has brought much to be pleased with.
We all look forward in confidence that one of Northamptonshire’s oldest distributions business has continued success.
