GOLFERS have raised more than £16,600 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice at the charity’s fifth annual corporate golf day at Northampton Golf Club.
Winners Selected Fitness pictured above retained their title from last year, ahead of this year’s runner-up VEND 43 and third-placed Action Express. A total 27 teams took part – a record or the event, says Nina Gandy, the hospice’s corporate partnerships fundraiser.
“We are thrilled by the success of this year’s golf day and that the event has grown again year on year since we launched,” adds Nina right.“We had the most teams we have ever had taking part and to have increased the fundraising total is a huge bonus”
Several businesses, including Action Express, were taking part in the golf day for the first time. Headline sponsor of the event for the second year was ACS Solutions. “We are huge supporters of the work the hospice does both in the inpatient unit and within the community,” says director Chris Wright. We are committed to supporting our local communities too and cannot wait to be involved in future events. The team work tirelessly to put on these events which always prove a real success and are enjoyed by lots of local companies who equally show their commitment to the charity’s work.”
