Wayne Jones, practice principal explains: “Three years ago, we invested heavily in new Building Information Technology, BIM for short. The BIM process allows us to create buildings in a virtual 3D environment allowing clients to experience a digital prototype of their building in advance of its physical construction. Our clients and fellow members of the construction team have found this invaluable. Our clients are happy and that’s very important to us. “When we adopted BIM, only 31 per cent of construction professionals were using this type of technology. We have gone from strength to strength since then, including further investment in energy evaluation software, so much so that we are delighted finalists in this years Northants Business Excellence Awards- Creative Innovation category.” Jones architecture + design are currently designing a prestigious high profile HQ building at Silverstone, several Jaguar Landrover and Mercedes Benz dealerships and have recently completed a primary school project. Also, and as part of their commitment to local community projects, they are providing gratis professional services to the Crick Sports Field Committee to develop a brand new sports pavilion. Their intention for 2015 is to continue to establish themselves a leading Northants practice, particularly in the bar/ restaurant/hospitality and commercial sectors.
