The increase is also helped by manufacturers introducing new models of tried and tested vans, the new Vauxhall Vivaro being a case in point. In addition, supply has improved as manufacturers improve their supply side to cope with increased demand, an example of that would be a dramatic reduction in the waiting time for some Ford vans including the new Custom variant.
2014 has also seen the launch and introduction of the Nissan eNV200 all electric van, which could revolutionise the way you think about your vehicle usage. Over 60 per cent of all van working days in Europe involve the vehicle travelling less than 60 miles in a single day. For example a tradesman’s vehicle travelling to a work site and sitting all day until the journey home at the end of the day. This means the vehicle can easily manage with an overnight charge within the expected range of a fully charged battery of 90 miles.
