Steven Osborne from Creative Torque in Northampton has been involved with the creative design work for the Clipper Race since 1996. He and his team have designed the branding, literature and merchandising to ensure the brand continues to grow and evolve.
The tenth edition of the race, the world’s longest yacht race, will start on Sunday 30 August from St Katharine Docks, London.
The fleet will provide a stunning sight on the Thames as hundreds of thousands of spectators cheer on the crews as they set sail for this 40,000 nautical mile journey in what will be one amazing feat of human endurance.
The city will welcome the skippers, crews and spectators who are expected to celebrate this unique event while watching the launch of the race. Over a hundred thousand visitors were attracted during the Clipper 2013-14 Race and this is expected to grow for the 2015-16 series.
Steven said: “We are delighted that once again our team have secured the creative design work for the complete race village and brand overhaul. Our designers have been busy working on a varied range of new projects from literature, merchandise to race village graphics to ensure the Clipper brand continues to grow and evolve.
“The new race start signage and banners that have been strategically place around the venue to mark the start of the Clipper 2015-16 race and we are already working on the collateral for the 17/18 race.”
