Print specialist agrees recycling deal to boost green future

Outsourced services company Print Data Solutions has appointed Cawleys as its recycling partner.

The agreement comes as PDS prepares for an upturn in business as the pandemic restrictions ease and companies resume organising and attending conferences, exhibitions, awards and events.

PDS is a rapidly growing business with two sites in Wellingborough specialising in print, merchandise, storage, fulfilment, and logistics. The partnership with Cawleys will allow PDS to recycle all of its card and plastic waste. Cawleys will also ensure PDS’ mixed waste will be separated and sorted to extract as much additional material for recycling as possible.

“We are excited to be working together with Cawleys, who play a pivotal role as we evolve our sustainability commitments,” said PDS’ operations director Kate Shelton. “Working with an independent local recycling company such as Cawleys is the perfect solution.”

Cawleys has been in business for more than 70 years and handles around 1,200 tonnes of waste a day.

“Taking a sustainable approach is now vitally important for all companies and with businesses beginning to get back to normal suppliers such as PDS will be in great demand,” said Cawleys sales executive Nick Powell. “End customers want to see that the organisations they buy from are doing the right thing for the environment and PDS certainly are.”
