NEW offices have been built at Henderson Fabrications on Moulton Park to cope with the increased demand brought about by an extension to the factory workshop.
The Kings Park Road firm added a further 5,500 square feet to its existing site in order to house a second laser cutting machine and to create further storage space.
Having seen production increase due to the expansion, it became apparent that the design and programming workload had grown to reflect that, and so a new office area was created to house additional staff.
Steve O’Looney, Managing Director of Henderson Fabrications, said: “The CAD (computer-aided design) work became a bit of a bottle-neck due to the increase in orders, so we’ve expanded that operation now as well, all part of the ongoing growth of the company.
“The changes we made when we built the new extension, buying in a second laser cutter and reintroducing a mothballed Trumpf CNC punching machine, have really paid dividends and we’re very busy. The newly built office will help the whole process run smoothly and cope with the extra workload, allowing us to serve our customers as efficiently as possible.”
Henderson Fabrications’ 25,500 square feet factory premises provide design, punching, folding, welding and laser cutting services for a range of sheet metals.
The new laser cutter can cut up to 12mm mild steel, 4mm thick aluminium and 8mm thick stainless steel.
The team at Henderson offers a complete concept to completion service, designing and creating prototypes where required, and seeing them through to production. Volumes range from a one-off product to a large run.
