KNOWLEDGE amassed over more than 20 years gives Whitco customers a service that sees their kitchen and catering needs met.

From major projects for prisons, universities and hospitals through to refits in independent restaurants and cafes, Whitco specialises in supplying, installing and maintaining professional catering and bakery equipment to clients across the UK and all sectors.

Just recently, Regional Sales Manager Isabella Jewry and the team completed a fit-out in Northampton for Mu Mu, the new gourmet burger and pizza restaurant in St Giles Street, and Amanda McGreavey who recently joined the Whitco Sales team has introduced the garden centre and farm shop sector, a completely new venture for the Thrapston-based company.

Amanda is one of three new appointments to the growing sales team, all of whom are experienced sales professionals within the catering industry, in the past 12 months.

Managing Director Jeff Whitaker said: “The company continues to grow and develop. The garden centre and farm shop sector is fast growing and one that we hadn’t tapped into much before, but now with Amanda’s contacts and experience this is quite exciting.   We have taken a stand at both the HTA EXHIBITION and GLEE EXHIBITIONT this year to promote our products and services. At the same time, we continue to support local food and drink producers such as Mu Mu, who are opening in Northampton following the success of their Kettering restaurant, which was last year a finalist in the Restaurant of the Year category in the Carlsberg Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards.

“The expertise of our team means that restaurants, coffee shops and commercial kitchens can take advantage of our knowledge to make sure their workspaces are equipped with exactly what they needed and feel reassured by the fact that we pride ourselves on unbiased advice, helping identify exactly what they need and don’t need.”

Whitco works with respected names in the industry such as Electrolux, Rational, Foster, Hobart, Falcon and Mieko, often holding events at its demonstration kitchen to give customers and potential new customers the opportunity to see for themselves what is on the market and discover new products.

Employing 30 staff, the firm offers a full range of services from consultancy and design through to project management, installation, staff training and after sales service.
