Twenties theme to venue’s festive party nights

PREMIER party venue Wicksteed Park has unveiled details of its festive party nights – and is now taking bookings from businesses and groups across the region.

The Christmas and New Year celebrations are held in the park’s refurbished Edwardian Pavilion and always prove to be extremely popular.

The theme this year is the movie The Great Gatsby/the 1920s and dressing up in period costume is optional.

Events start on Saturday, 28 November with Step into Christmas, which is £15 per person, including a disco with Big Bopper Entertainment and chicken and chips basket meal.

Christmas party nights begin in December, and revelers can enjoy delicious food and a great atmosphere with live band Abandon Ship and a disco with Big Bopper Entertainment on Friday 4, Saturday 5, Friday 11, Saturday 12, Friday 18 and Saturday 19.

There is a three-course menu to enjoy featuring a choice which includes traditional Christmas dinner and vegetarian options There will also be a cocktail and wine bar. Doors will open at 7.15pm; food will be served at 8pm; carriages are at 1am.

On New Year’s Eve, Thursday, 31 December, partygoers can enjoy canapes and drinks on arrival as well as a sumptuous buffet meal.

The Pavilion is also the venue for the park’s popular daytime shows.
Swinging Into Christmas provides West End-quality entertainment along with lunch and afternoon tea in the park’s stunning Edwardian Pavilion.

Songs will include Santa Baby, White Christmas, Come Fly with Me, Fly Me to the Moon, Lady is a Tramp, My Way, Baby it’s Cold Outside, The Christmas Song and Jingle Bells.
The show features an outstanding cast of singers, dancers and actors all backed by The Pavilion’s sensational resident jazz trio.
