Now two new vehicles have been added to the fleet of the thriving family-run independent haulage company to meet growing demand.
The investment in the Mercedes Actros and Daf 106 are testament to the company’s commitment to offering a first class, personal service to customers across the UK.
The company, set up in 1979, is based at Chowns Mill at Irthlingborough, giving the drivers easy access to the county’s road network.
David Donaldson, who bought the business nearly ten years ago, uses his experience in the haulage industry to play a hands-on role in the day-to-day operations.
He said “We are a family business that takes pride in working with a wide range of clients who rely on our services. Some work with us on a regular basis while others may only need our services on an occasional basis. Whatever their needs, we believe we set high standards.”
The fleet ranges from a 44-ton articulated truck to tractor units to curtain sided trailers for greater flexibility when loading and unloading goods. Bulk tippers and flat bed transportation are other options along with truck-mounted forklifts, Moffett Mountys. These are another benefit for clients who need access to specific types of vehicles to handle their loads.
David said: “Deliveries are time sensitive so customers welcome direct access to a forklift to unload the goods.”
A recent decision to reduce its deliveries across Europe has brought fresh opportunities for the company to focus on developing its services with long-standing and new clients in the United Kingdom. Short or long-term contract services are available with the team able to deliver loads across the whole of the United Kingdom or closer to home.
