Counting down to Christmas

ON five Sundays in the weeks leading up to Christmas, Jeyes of Earls Barton will be opening their doors for festive celebrations with a difference. Whether it’s an office party, family day out or simply a Christmas treat to yourself, Jeyes of Earls Barton will be offering traditional Christmas roast lunches or Festive Afternoon Teas.

Christmas Days at Jeyes will run from 25 November to 23 December and alongside dining in the award-winning Apothocoffee Shop, customers can shop in the gift and toy shops and browse around the Museums including the recently opened Kinky Boots Exhibition.

Anna Jeyes-Hulme said: “It’s a great opportunity for groups of friends or families, offices, clubs and societies to come along and enjoy a festive meal or afternoon tea together and discover what Jeyes of Earls Barton has to offer. Our Christmas themed conservatory is the perfect place to enjoy festivities with colleagues, offering an alternative to the traditional office party. We are fully licensed, so everyone can enjoy a festive tipple as well. I’m sure they’ll have lots to talk about morning after!”

The Apothocoffee Shop Christmas Lunch or Festive Afternoon Tea can be served throughout the week, catering for small groups or larger parties up to 35.

The Christmas menu includes soup or Brixworth pate to start, followed by a choice of traditional roast turkey, honey glazed gammon or home-made nut roast, while the dessert selection includes Christmas pudding, warm caramel apple pie and ice cream or warm mince pies with clotted cream.

Three courses is £18.95, two courses £14.95 and children’s lunch £8.95. Festive Afternoon Tea, accompanied by a glass of mulled wine or sparkling apple and pear juice includes savoury and sweet treats and costs £14.95 per person and £8.95 for children.

Georgina Jeyes of Jeyes of Earls Barton, said: “We don’t normally open on Sundays or offer a traditional roast lunch option but we thought in the countdown to Christmas it would be nice to give people the chance to visit, enjoy a Christmas meal and do a little bit of Christmas shopping.”
