Saxon Blinds, the Northampton-based window blinds company, is about to undertake a major project across the UK for high-end shirt company Charles Tyrwhitt, producing retractable window blinds that announce to customers when a Sale is imminent.
The Magee Street company has already carried out extensive works at the shirt company’s London stores but that is set to extend to branches throughout the country, with blinds announcing Christmas sales needing to be in place before the bargains start to appear.
Mark Grainger, Managing Director of Saxon Blinds, said: “We fitted cassette blinds to the firm’s London stores not so long ago and now they need the same fitted to stores across the UK. They have outlets in cities like Oxford, Bath and Edinburgh and it looks like we’re going to be fitting them across the country and also updating the ones in London.
“Our strength in this type of product is our ability to produce printed graphics on blinds up to 3 metres wide, which very few companies are able to do. Printed blinds are fairly easy to come by, but not large-format versions like this.
“The same technology is available to all of our customers, who want a striking look for their premises, promoting their brand in such a practical way.”
