PRIME retail premises in Northampton that have been refurbished have subsequently  re-let through Hadland Chartered Surveyors on behalf of a London-based investor. What was formerly a large bookmakers at 2-4 Sheep Street has been split into two separate smaller units, fully refurbished and let to a traditional butcher and a company offering retraining and career development opportunities to adults. The site is on one of the busiest retail streets in Northampton and is close to outlets including Subway and Naked Hair. Peter Castle, Managing Director of Hadlands, said: “The investor saw the benefit of splitting the premises into two units and the decision has paid off, with both units now being let. “One of the new tenants, Prospects, part of a national chain of training providers, also instructed us to find additional, separate office space to use on a temporary basis and we were able to secure a 2,000 square feet office on Abington Street to meet their additional needs.” Also on Abington Street, the former Opera Café has been let to another coffee shop under new management and will be opening shortly. The premises were let at close to the asking rent on a new lease. New instructions include a 4,100 square feet business unit on Lodge Farm. The high quality unit offers warehouse, office and production facilities and is available for sale or to let. Also available is a single industrial unit in Stoke Bruerne, offering 1,400 square feet of space for a variety of uses. The unit is located in a good position close to Junction 15 of the M1.  A modern workshop with mezzanine floor, in William Street, close to Northampton town centre, is also available to let.
