Fun ways to drive home a message

TD Group are having an exciting and busy start to 2020.

In January we were privileged to be invited to the High Sheriff of Buckingham’s event as sponsors of the Heart of Bucks Community Foundation. This event focused on the power of arts and culture to transform peoples’ lives within the county and was held at the Stables MK.

We were also lucky enough to attend a presentation from Roz Bird, Commercial Director of MEP,C which focused on the exciting growth plans for Silverstone Park, and we were then given a tour of the Silverstone Experience Centre. This is a great place to visit as a Formula 1 fan.

Buckingham School Year 9 students met a range of technology businesses at Silverstone to get a taste of life at Silverstone Park. Anthony Priest and Neil Webb from TD Group, along with Henry Allmand, CEO of the Heart of Bucks Community Foundation, and Ian Row, MD of Prominent Media, provided a fun and insightful session on the necessity of creating a great first impression. Having good social and personal skills are all essential for young people to learn early and to help them feel confident and prepared for interview situations.

In February we were proud to be involved in the Gaia Innovation’s inspiring event, Succeeding in the 21st Century World of Work at Kingsthorpe College, Northampton. I was involved in the Career Speed Networking part of the day which was to inspire Year 9 students to consider careers in engineering, technology, automotive and business enterprise and to inform the students how to seize the career opportunities available to them locally. This was a fun event and the students asked lots of great, interesting questions.

We are looking forward to being involved in more of these invaluable and inspiring events in the months to come. Watch this space…
