Tolly good show… Village pub is the region’s best

It’s cheers once more to the Tollemache Arms pub in Harrington, now officially the best pub in the East Midlands according to the National Pub & Bar Awards.

The pub now lines up alongside the best from across the UK in the bid to be named the UK’s top establishment.

The Tollemache Arms – known to locals as The Tolly – was commended on its crea-tive and perfectly delivered food as well as its warm and friendly hospitality, an inviting atmosphere for all walks of life, maintaining a beautiful quintessential British pub surrounded by stunning countryside views, according to the judges.

Co-owner Joe Buckley, pictured with the award, said: “It was an incredible competition to be in-volved in and we are beyond proud of what the team has achieved in one of the most challenging years ever. They have adapted and excelled in the most amazing industry and it is great they get the recognition they deserve.”

The annual awards are organised by Pub & Bar magazine.
