EMPLOYMENT growth in the UK is growing sharply, as reported by the Office for National Statistics, and is just one sign of the renewed prosperity many businesses are enjoying.

It’s critically important that businesses retain and recruit the right people to capitalise on all opportunities that present themselves.

Impact Recruitment Services have the recruitment knowledge and expertise to help achieve this, considering all aspects of workforce planning, such as employment legislation, talent availability, pay and reward.

In fact, Impact has just published its Salary Survey for Northamptonshire 2015, which collects salary information from local businesses and employees for various roles and sectors. This is collated and anonymously published to show the average results and give a real perspective on local salary levels, compared to the UK and previous years surveys, ideal for clients and candidates to see how competitive their salary expectations are.

Paul Hooper, Director said: “Pay growth is picking up, particularly in sectors such as finance, retail and hospitality, less so in others, such as manufacturing, which continues to struggle. I think this is largely because we have an increased supply of workers, especially older workers and EU migrants, which means that employers are under little pressure to increase pay. For many, there is still some way to go to see wages significantly exceed living costs.”

He continued: “As a recruitment agency, we have to keep up to date with these trends and benchmarking local salary levels is one way of helping our clients and candidates set realistic salary expectations.”
