LEADING regional law firm Tollers is appreciating the benefits of moving to new headquarters at The Lakes.
It is a year since the firm, celebrating its 140th anniversary this year, made the move to prestigious offices at 1 Waterside Way on Northampton’s Bedford Road. The move was an opportunity to bring together the ‘For You and For Business’ aspects of the firm under one roof, which employs more than 80 people in the town.
The contemporary-style open-plan offices offer a wealth of facilities that were lacking at the firm’s previous offices scattered across Northampton. The firm’s clients appreciate the location of the offices on the edge of town next to the development of the University of Northampton’s campus, as there is ample parking and purpose-designed suites for consultations.
Managing Partner Duncan Nicholson said: “The management team thought long and hard about moving out of the centre, as we had been based in the centre of town for over 30 years. We are really pleased we made the decision as our new headquarters offer a much better contemporary working environment which is a welcome improvement from the traditional accommodation where our teams were based.
“The offices are in a great location and not only do they provide a better experience for our teams, the whole client experience has been vastly improved with clients commenting positively on the new environment we are able to offer them.”
The firm has always had a strong private client presence and the Partners recognised many years ago that clients would also benefit from having access to specialists in the areas of business law. This prompted the development of specialist teams who work very closely together in each of the firm’s locations including Northampton to ensure that all of the firm’s client needs, professional or private, are catered for.
The ‘For You’ teams at Tollers deal with a wide range of work for their clients including wills, estate and trust administration, Court of Protection, residential conveyancing, personal injury matters and all things family including divorce and separation.
The firm’s ‘For Business’ teams specialise in assisting clients with a wide range of issues from mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, banking, real estate, employment law and insolvency and corporate recovery.
