Expansion continues as developers seek opportunities

COMMERCIAL property specialists Berrys are seeing an increase in landowners and developers both seeking commercial property opportunities across the East Midlands, demonstrating the continued growth in the region. New schemes are currently being delivered across Leicestershire and Northamptonshire with South Northamptonshire a particularly popular area of growth.

As part of the growth around South Northamptonshire Berrys is actively providing development consultancy advice for a new development.

Simon Parsons, commercial agent at Berrys said: “We are involved with a number of schemes in the area, covering retail, restaurant, residential and industrial opportunities. The Whittons Lane scheme in Towcester in particular is a diverse opportunity for businesses close to the South Northamptonshire council offices.

“Supported by continued residential growth in Towcester, the development will be well placed to meet increasing demand for amenities in South Northamptonshire and will provide an attractive and pleasant location. There are opportunities still available for cafe operators and a wide range of take-away food, as well as class A1 retailers.”

Berrys is acting as a sole agent on this development and units are available on a leasehold basis on terms to be agreed – any businesses interested should contact Simon Parsons or Duncan Batty on or or 01327 356140.

While Northamptonshire has proven to be an area key for growth, surrounding counties are also playing a key part in the East Midlands economic development.

Berrys are involved in a sizeable industrial complex in Coalville, Leicestershire. With 10 units ranging from 1,000 to 9,000 square feet (approx.), Vulcan Park will facilitate expansion of local and national businesses seeking an accessible industrial location. The park is situated on the existing Hermitage Industrial Estate and construction will be completed in August 2019.

The park will create space for more than 120 new jobs in the area and is being built by Leicestershire County Council to support small start-ups. Speaking of the development, county council leader Nick Rushton said: “Supporting businesses boosts our economy, and creates jobs.

“The units at Vulcan Park will offer new companies space to set up shop, and supports growing firms in need of bigger premises. It’s great news that businesses are already interested in renting space and I look forward to construction progressing.”

Units are available by way of a new lease with terms to be agreed and the developer and landowner is offering businesses the opportunity to secure a unit by way of a pre-let agreement. Any interested parties should contact Simon Parsons on 01327 227248.
