Three years after a management buyout, the experienced team are ensuring their high standards are bringing benefits to customers looking for this specialist service.
Managing Director Chris Shannon, who has worked for the business for nearly 25 years, said: “Our strength has always been that we like to work very closely with our customers. Since the management buyout we have found that we can take decisions that meet the needs of each customer, including many who have been with us for 25 years.
“We are still a small company, but this means we are able to offer the best of both worlds – a personal service and the experience of a well-established, forward-thinking company.”
Ongoing investment in machinery and training enables the business to offer a wide range of services including masking to detailed drawings, casting impregnation, and sealing and box ovens for coating large and heavy items. The company has its own fleet of vehicles so can arrange collection and delivery and for volume contracts can offer an automatic powder line.
A year after the buyout the business was awarded IS0 9001 accreditation. This internationally-recognised award is a certified quality management system for organisations who want to prove their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet the needs of their customers and other relevant stakeholders.
Chris said: “We are very proud of what we have been able to achieve since the management buyout. This award is only given to businesses who can prove they have met a wide range of criteria. We went through a lot of changes when the decision was taken to go ahead with the buyout and this award reflects the hard work and commitment of the team.”
The award is often a requirement when applying for contract tenders.
Chris said: “We work closely with our current customers but always welcome inquiries from new businesses looking for this specialist service.”
