A springboard for more activity

GORELL Barnes, as the only specialist commercial agency in East Northamptonshire, is pleased to report considerable activity in the area.

I am sure the already successful Rushden Lakes will be covered elsewhere in this Business Times feature on East Northamptonshire, but this retail and leisure scheme, which is already largely pre-let, despite building having only just commenced, has been a springboard for other planning applications, development and lettings, in the borough.

In Thrapston, Gorell Barnes have been successful in letting new offices on the Oundle Road and also elsewhere in the borough.

Regarding development, clients of Gorell Barnes have now refurbished 71-75 High Street, Thrapston, which has been derelict for many years. This comprises two shops and an office at ground floor level with flats above.

The development is progressing to completion to allow the tenants to agree terms on the ground floor to take occupation, which is expected for August. An interesting tenant mix is expected to enhance Thrapston as an attractive small shopping town.

On the industrial warehouse front, Gorell Barnes have been successful in letting various properties on Hill Farm Estate at Little Addington and will soon have a 5,600  sq ft unit becoming available on the estate, being the only remaining available space.

Gorell Barnes have also been marketing good storage/workshop accommodation in very close proximity to Junction 12 of the A14 at Titchmarsh amounting to space of 4,200 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft.  The accommodation is now also under offer.
