Jobs bonanza: Hundreds of positions available at Brackmills Jobs Fair

HUNDREDS of job vacancies with companies based on Northampton’s Brackmills industrial estate will take centre stage at the Jobs Fair being hosted by the estate’s Business Improvement District next week.

The Jobs Fair, being staged by Brackmills BID at Delapre Abbey in Northampton on September 23, will promote a host of vacancies and opportunities – everything from office work and management to driving jobs, packing and facilities.

Job seekers are invited to drop in. There is no need to register, just make your way to the main entrance of the historic home and follow the signage.

The Jobs Fair will be held in the stunning Bouverie Suite rooms between 10am and 3pm and there will also be additional support for job seekers, with CV writing advice and other vocational skill training on offer.

Brackmills BID chief executive Sara Homer said: “Here on Brackmills we are determined to both support people into work and to support those businesses needing staff. Delapré Abbey as our venue really elevates our event and we look forward to welcoming people to this event.”

Richard Clinton, chief executive of the Delapré Abbey Preservation Trust, added: “We are committed to supporting the local community and are pleased to partner with Brackmills BID to host another jobs fair at the Abbey.”

Brackmills Industrial Estate has Business Improvement District status, which means businesses on the estate pool an annual levy and use the funding to enhance the estate, in particular to:

  • Support businesses and staff on the estate
  • Provide a great infrastructure
  • Invest in a safe and secure environment
