SCANIA dealer, TruckEast has been a key name in Northamptonshire's logistics sector for many years. Its success has been due to continuously listening and adapting to industry demands and working with operators to ensure they support the needs of today and tomorrow.
Over the past few years, significant investments have been made into its facilities and the Northampton branch, on Brackmills Industrial Estate, is just one of those that is now able to offer expanded services.
The latest enhancement to Northampton includes the fitment of an additional pair of brake rollers into its existing tachograph bay. The addition means the branch have more flexibility around scheduled work and with that workshop capacity.
General Manager, Robert Vasey said: "Our new brake rollers allow us to be more efficient with using workshop space available. For example if we've got someone in for brake tests, we have the choice and no longer need to lose the existing bay, it could instead be used for repairs and servicing.
"Likewise if we've got both a truck and trailer requiring brake tests we can carry them out simultaneously on the two sets. It really has expanded our offering and given us that extra flexibility - a benefit we can pass onto our customers."
Northampton offers a broad range of services to its customer base including all makes repair and maintenance, MOT preparation and presentation, new and used truck sales, a wide range of Scania and VRS parts, 24 hour breakdown assistance, tachograph services and brake tests.
