Licensed to entertain

YOU don’t need to go undercover to find out that Kettering Park Hotel is offering one of the most elegant and sophisticated Christmas party themes this year.

With a Licence to Thrill, the hotel is hosting James Bond themed festive evenings on selected dates from 29 November, including arrival drinks, a four-course dinner, casino games and dancing.

From small groups of friends to larger parties of work colleagues, everyone can gather for excellent food prepared by the Kettering Park Hotel chefs and their team.

Guests will arrive at around 7pm to a Casino Royale champagne cocktail and warm cinnamon and apple popcorn, before sitting down to dinner. The dinner menu includes starters – prawn cocktail; leek, potato and watercress soup and butternut squash and goat’s cheese tart – before the main course, chosen from ballotine of butter roast turkey, slow braised blade of aged beef Forestiere or fricassee of winter vegetables with crispy tofu, all served with honey roast winter vegetables, button sprouts and roast potatoes.

The award-winning Thwaites Ale Christmas Pudding leads the desserts, which also include white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake and a traditional cheese platter.

Party nights start at £42 per person and go up to £59.95 per person depending on the date chosen. Private Christmas parties can also be arranged, during the day or in the evening for groups of friends and work colleagues.

Once again, Kettering Park Hotel’s traditional Christmas Day Lunch is set to prove popular. Priced at £110 for adults and £55 for children, lunch is served on Christmas Day from noon to 2pm. Throughout December, festive lunches (£28 for three courses) and dinners (£33.50 for three courses) will be served in the hotel’s restaurant. Festive Afternoon Tea is available throughout December, costing £25 per person, or £28 with a glass of champagne, or £13 for children’s afternoon tea.

On New Year’s Eve there will be luxurious New Year Gala in the hotel’s Rutland Suite, priced at £95 per person, including champagne and canapes on arrival, followed by a five-course dinner and dancing and late night snacks at 1am.

Also, for those who want to spoil their friends and family, the hotel has a range of gift ideas, from one-night stays to spa treatments and gift vouchers available to buy.
