Surroundings that will inspire

CONSUMERS’ appetite for socialising over food and drink is currently reaching a real high, however there is a lot of competition out there between bars, restaurant and pubs.

Today’s customer is really savvy. It is now not enough to serve great products and provide good service. The surroundings that they are served in need to be extra special to attract customers and for them to return. This won’t be achieved by selecting the latest fashionable wallpaper and contemporary furniture.

It is vital that the design of the venue stands out from the crowd and really reflects your personality.

Our work in the hospitality sector includes a huge spectrum of food and drink related outlets from high street brands, gastro pubs, coffee shops. We like to think that we help our clients naturally differentiate themselves from potential competition. Our strong market awareness makes us well placed to advise on design trends which could be relevant to your operation.

As interior designers and architects, our remit, though isn’t just to advise on colours and finishes. Our work with clients explores potential changes which may be structural, for example installing roof lights, adding extensions, new entrances or perhaps bi-folding doors onto the patio area. Making adjustments to how spaces are used, can improve the way spaces operate, bring light into previously gloomy spaces and add extra space for more covers or a slicker back of house arrangement.

These kinds of changes can help clients tap into new revenue streams. Some of our recent work has involved converting old outbuildings and staff bedrooms of a put into letting bedrooms, adapting spaces that could be hired out for functions, installing a micro brewery into some unused space. A recent project which involved the design of a new landscaped patio area saw sales increase by 30 per cent.

It is a real challenge to retain existing loyal customers and tap into potential new markets. The increase in the casual dining scene has seen several styles of seating mixed together from upholstered booths, long rustic sharing refractory style tables and lots of high seating. This is perfect since there is always an option to suit every type of customer.

Where possible we like to introduce focal points and features that customers will remember you for. This is part of creating a great customer experience. It is important that these resonate with the customer, are relevant to your operation and reflect what you are all about. These kind of things don’t need to cost the earth and there are often opportunities to up-cycle or adapt existing items.

For customers to enjoy and return to your venue, your interior needs to capture their imagination. The planning and design of your space is an absolutely vital part of that customer experience.

We are really passionate about working alongside clients to create successful destinations that not only hit the mark operationally but inspire!
