After some changes to both staff and ethos, The Bold Dragoon is ready to prove itself again as a destination pub, introducing a new menu and a new emphasis on putting the customer first in everything it does.

After some changes to both staff and ethos, The Bold Dragoon is ready to prove itself again as a destination pub, introducing a new menu and a new emphasis on putting the customer first in everything it does.
Customers can choose from one of four distinct areas in the pub. The first being the public bar where food is served and where the traditional pub games such as pool and darts are still a major attraction.
The lounge has recently been refurbished and offers somewhere more comfortable and calming for families or those looking for a quiet drink and a bite to eat. From the lounge, there’s access to the 34-seater conservatory restaurant and from there, when the weather allows, there’s a patio area with luxury rattan seating.
A team of chefs have developed new menus that focus on offering fresh food, cooked from scratch on the premises, whether for diners in the restaurant or those looking for a bar snack.
The pub has taken on three new craft beers and there are six real ales, as well as a range of bottled beers and ciders, and, of course, the wine list.
Peter Stubbins, who took over the management of The Bold Dragoon at the end of last year, said: “We have a very solid, local trade and we are determined to give them back a pub to be proud of. There have been a lot of ups and downs over the past few years and the locals have stood by us and we think they deserve a pub they can be proud of now.”
