THERE’S no guarantee of sunshine in this country, but at least it’s good to know there’s somewhere close to hand where you can enjoy a meal or snack, or even just a drink after work, in pleasant surroundings when the weather does take a turn for the best.

Sunday lunch is £18.95 for two courses or £24.95 for three and is always popular, so booking is recommended.
Another summer favourite is the traditional English afternoon tea, both the classic version (£19.95) or the sparking version (£23.95 with champagne or prosecco) which includes sandwiches, cakes, pastries and, of course, a drink.
