Spring is here

SPRING has definitely arrived at Kettering Park Hotel & Spa, where the new restaurant dinner menu has a fresh look – still focusing on local produce wherever possible, but introducing some exciting new tastes.

The Restaurant and Bar is the perfect place to round off the day, whether you’re at the hotel for business or pleasure, booked in as a resident or simply visiting as a guest for dinner.

The hotel is a popular business venue – for meetings, conferences and overnight stays, and the restaurant, along with the hotel spa offers somewhere to relax during your stay. But it’s equally popular with local diners who have come to know the quality of dishes offered by the talented kitchen team.

Among the dishes on the new menu are a range of small dishes upon which to snack while perusing the menu, including freshly baked artisan bread with oil and aged balsamic vinegar and tiger shrimp tempura with grilled lime and a sweet chilli sauce.

Warm venison Scotch egg with redcurrant jelly and watercress sauce, grilled Nene View Dairy goats cheese and heritage beetroot salad or corn-fed chicken, oyster mushroom and herb terrine are just three of the appetisers on offer, while the char-grill offers sirloin steak, butterflied breast of chicken, fillet steak, beef burger or venison burger.

A range of fish dishes includes a mixed fish grill (sea trout, monkfish and hake with scallop, herb mayonnaise and thin fries), Thwaites ale battered haddock with thick chips and mushy peas, sea bream with chargrilled fennel and fish pie.

Herb crusted rack of Suffolk lamb, roasted Blythburgh pork fillet stuffed with Tuxford and Tebbutt Stilton and pan roasted saddle of rabbit with sage will tempt the meat lovers, while a wild mushroom and black truffle summer pudding with baby spinach and tarragon provides a meat-free alternative.

Andrew Hollett, General Manager of the Kettering Park Hotel and Spa, said: “The chefs have come up with some excellent new dishes for the new season menu. We always pride ourselves on using local ingredients as much as possible, and this menu is no exception. We think our regular diners will be impressed and we hope it will attract new customers to come and check out what’s on offer.”
