COMBINING the experience that comes with a business that spans seven decades with a determination to remain right up to date with modern technology, T James Electrical Ltd provides a respected, trusted and innovative service.

Founded in 1957, the Kettering company has gone from being a small family business, started by the late Tony James, to achieve the £7.2 million turnover operation in recent years.

Some things have changed – T James is at the forefront of a sector that is more energy conscious than ever before, for instance – while the focus on customer service and pride in a job well done remain the same.

Today, the 45-strong workforce is divided into five divisions, serving clients across the UK and Europe and carrying out work that ranges from small electrical faults in domestic premises to contracts worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

The company prides itself on an attitude of ‘no task is too small nor any job too big’ for our fully trained and highly skilled team.

To maintain the traditional skills and to keep abreast of all new developments and innovations, the company has a history of taking on apprentices to learn alongside their skilled colleagues. In fact, current Managing Director Simon Turner originally joined the company as an apprentice.

The T James client base includes councils, hospitals, schools, colleges, factories and building contractors, as well as numerous major PLCs.

Andy Johnson, Energy Saving Projects Manager, said: “We are proud of our history and our accreditations, which include the likes of Link Up and BSI, which allow us to compete for contracts within areas such as the rail industry and public sector.

“At the same time, we are flexible enough to be able to respond to anything that comes our way, no matter how big or small.”
