Two major projects

THE latest two Northamptonshire projects awarded to Parkway Construction consist of 22 individual industrial units totalling 202,000 sq ft, with a combined construction value of £12 million.

The scheme at Brackmills, Northampton which was recently completed consists of 14 industrial units totalling 65,000 sq ft with construction value of £4.1 million.

The scheme for Tungsten Developments has just been awarded the IAS – Best Overall Scheme – multi-let estate.

The external elevations will be constructed using a composite cladding system laid both horizontally and vertically to architects details and planning approved drawings. The units include full height curtain walling and sectional overhead doors with steel fire exits. Unit 14 will include a metal profile decking first floor area

Jeff Penman the owner of Tungsten Properties Ltd said: “Many thanks to the agency, the Professional Team and to Parkway Construction for doing such an excellent job”

Parkway Construction have also recently commenced work on a new site – Unit 401 at Brackley, Northants for Albion Land which will comprise eight units totalling 137,000 sq ft with a construction value of £ 7.9 million

The development will include extensive site remodelling which includes the removal of 25,000 cubic metres of spoil to achieve the designed plateau level. A series of retaining structures and batters will allow the construction of these composite clad envelopes. Internally there are first floor, fully fitted out mezzanine offices above small stair cores and toilets.

This green field site sits outside the local flood plain and the drainage strategy encompasses hydrobrake technology, large diameter pipe runs, combined with a large volume water retention swale to allow the maximum water retention on site during storm conditions.
