Print is not dead!

PRINT has been overshadowed in recent years by the digital era. They said (and some still do) that print is dead, but I disagree. I can’t imagine walking into a car dealership and not being able to take away printed literature about a particular car I am interested in, or not seeing my wife with the Next catalogue on her lap when re-decorating our house?again.

Print is not dead. Yes it’s definitely changed, but what doesn’t if it wants longevity and that continued progression of getting better and better?

Print is very much alive.?It’s far more sophisticated than it was and it definitely complements the digital offering and other multi-channel marketing campaigns. I agree that a certain type of print is dying because of what the internet can offer, however those pop-up adverts can sometimes be quite annoying when trying to take on information. That annoyance doesn’t happen when reading a magazine, book or another form of printed matter. A printed brochure for example, puts your brand, product and/or service offering directly into the hands of the customer.

As a business we have diversified, adding a design studio with a fantastic creative team, along with merchandise experts, fulfilment and warehousing, all part of our added service offering.

Marketing literature, printed packaging, point of sale and operational print is ordered in abundance by our clients. Print is far more creative than it once was and it can also be very personal to the targeted recipient.

The quality of digital print is outstanding and offers cost effective short-run production, allowing the marketing budget to be spread out more evenly.

Our clients trust our expertise to ensure we are constantly offering variety, creativity, value for money and a service that’s unrivalled. As a business we have expanded with our offering but I go back to my earlier point, who doesn’t if they want to improve? Our main revenue, by far, is still printed materials and the business continues to show healthy growth in this area year on year.

Things can change, sometimes too quickly, but I believe that change offers opportunity. It’s exciting times to be involved within the industry. Long live print!
