Box-it provides secure document storage, scanning and electronic retrieval systems, as well as the shredding of confidential and sensitive documents – all part of the cradle-to-grave service the company prides itself upon.
The new unit, which has space for around 50,000 boxes, has been built to cope with growing demand from clients who need a safe and secure place to store documents, freeing up valuable office space in their own premises but ensuring any information can be quickly retrieved when needed.
Ed Smith, Director of Box-it South Midlands, said: “We will use the new unit to bring together those documents that are most often retrieved, thereby reducing traffic movements making our service more efficient, cutting our carbon footprint even further in line with our environmental commitments.
“Our business is growing steadily particularly with regard to physical document storage. Despite the move to electronic storage within the office there are still sectors where paper documents are used and need to be stored securely. The NHS is a case in point and a growing part of our business now is with doctors’ surgeries and clinics.
“Office space is as valuable commodity and freeing up floor space that might otherwise be taken by filing cabinets gives companies more space to work with, allowing room for expansion internally, and be safe in the knowledge there documents can be returned to them the next working day.”
