Next Generation committee welcomes new members

New faces have joined the committee of the Next Generation Chamber, which supports young entrepreneurs from across Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.

The organisation was created in 2017 by Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire Chambers of Commerce specifically to help businesses support and nurture staff. It provides personal development sessions and social opportunities to its membership of more than 100.

New committee member Nina Gandy is corporate partnerships fundraiser at Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton and joined Next Generation Chamber in 2019. She is joined by Imran Ilias, a commercial litigation paralegal and future trainee solicitor at Northamptonshire law firm Wilson Browne Solicitors, and Jamie Cochrane, associate at PBC Business Recovery & Insolvency.

Mr Ilias said: “I really like the mix of people who attend Next Generation Chamber events – the future leaders of the county. I wanted to join the committee to create an impact by planning and promoting the events. I want to encourage more professionals of similar backgrounds to get involved.”

Mr Cochrane added: “I have seen the good work it does in terms of helping people with their continuing professional development and I am keen to drive that forward.”

President Hannah Brady said: “It is brilliant to see Nina, Jamie and Imran joining the committee. I am really looking forward to working together this year to strengthen Next Gen.”

She paid tribute to outgoing vice president Connor Slasberg, the organisation’s inaugural president.

“We will certainly miss his enthusiasm and impressions in our committee meetings.”
